UAE corporate tax estimator

Enter revenue and expenses — get an indicative 9% corporate tax estimate, including the AED 375,000 zero band and a Small Business Relief flag.

Use accounting profit inputs — salaries, rent, COGS, all normal business costs.

How the 9% actually applies

  • 0% on the first AED 375,000 of taxable income
  • 9% on taxable income above AED 375,000
  • Small Business Relief — revenue ≤ AED 3m can elect zero taxable income
  • Freezone 0% only on qualifying income, with strict conditions

The estimate assumes all expenses are deductible. Real computations adjust for fines, certain entertainment costs, related-party pricing and more — which is where a proper adviser earns their fee.

FAQs

How is UAE corporate tax calculated?

Taxable income is accounting profit adjusted for tax rules. The first AED 375,000 of taxable income is taxed at 0%; anything above at 9%. This tool applies that structure to your estimated profit.

What is Small Business Relief?

If your revenue is AED 3 million or less for the relevant and all prior tax periods (up to the sunset date in the law), you can elect to be treated as having no taxable income. The election is made in the return — it is not automatic.

Does this apply to freezone companies?

Freezone entities register and file like everyone else. Qualifying income of a Qualifying Free Zone Person is taxed at 0% — but the conditions are strict. Use our freezone checker, then get proper advice.

Is this an official calculation?

No — it's an indicative estimate ignoring adjustments (disallowed expenses, exempt income, reliefs, losses). Your actual computation should be prepared from reconciled books.
